TITLE: Me Before You
AUTHOR: Jojo Moyes
RATING: ☆☆☆☆☆ (5/5)
(This review was posted last March, I think.. I am just posting this here to share my thoughts about the book.) Read from February 23 to March 09, 2016
‘Sometimes, Clark, you are pretty much the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning.’
Let me make myself clear, first I have no intentions of reading this at this time, only when this guy friend of mine who was not into this kind of shit, because by his looks he’s a Gaiman kind of guy and really, not in his kind to read this book and he was bauling like a goddamn baby from crying did I decided to read this and yes!! Damn! I was brokenhearted after I finished this last night and man oh man my eyes are puffy and all from crying my heart out.
‘you make me into someone I couldn’t even imagine. You make me happy, even when you’re awful. I would rather be with you – even the you that you seem to think is diminished – than with anyone else in the world.’
When I started reading this I was so excited because of the characters, I absolutely adore Will Traynor ahh damn but I adoringly love Louisa Clark she’s just different, peculiar indeed but I love her, she’s just a ray of sunshine who lights up the place. I like her attitude maybe because I see a bit of me in them. I love how she falls for Will without her even knowing, Yaass! just let it be! Gaaahh! I am so not making sense right now I just got so attached with this story I just can’t even put them into words right now. I love them. I just love the story, everything. I wouldn’t change anything in this one. Maybe if Will you know in the end with Lou. Arrghh! I love them together so much I am crying my eyes out. (The movie I think would be so good, I have watched the trailer when I was in the middle of my reading and to tell you I am crying and crying and crying from that short trailer, the one where she was sitting on his lap on the wheelchair darn it! ahahah okay enough)
Reading Moyes was such an awe inspiring thing, she’s just like Nicholas Sparks version 2.0 the girl version haha! Was excited to start After You. I hope it’s good as this one. Keeping my fingers crossed. Will post review for the sequel.
