5 reasons why you should go to the beach
I’m not really a fan of sand on my skin. But the beach gives me a soothing feeling that you deserve the experience. This is not about how much money you spend on your getaway but how much you did before that. This is absolution! This is refuge! This is revenge!
Going to the beach shouldn’t be all about how much and where you spend it at. It’s about why you are doing this. Why are you here? Who are you with?
Millennials forgot the main reason why we have beaches. It’s to go back to basics. To leave everything behind. To wind down. To feel that what we’ve been doing matters.
Here are five reasons why you should go to the beach.
Going to the beach should be a reward in it’s entirety. You’ve worked hard on your finals and you got high grades for it, or successfully closed a deal with your new client. Reward yourself with such luxury. Turn off your phone and put that Don’t Disturb auto-reply on your email and start packing!
Going to the beach is a must experience. Don’t waste your youth partying on clubs or sulking at the basement playing video games. Go out, get burned and get wet! It’s a great way to meet new (read: not imaginary) friends!
When starting something new; a new job, a new school or anew love life, go to the beach! Make it a memory you will never forget. Associate new things with equally great memories.
Break the monotony
If you feel you easily tire or you are irritated at the slightest of things, you need to detox! Stress will eat you up alive. Once in a while, steal some time and break the routine. Book a room at your favorite beach resort and splurge on the change of environment!
Bond with loved ones
Beach excursion has always been a great family activity. Whether you are single, in a relationship, soon to be divorced or no boyfriend since birth, you owe it to your loved ones and yourself, to spend special time together. Away from the negativities in life.
