Where Lies Reality the ugly writers

Where Lies Reality

The only air is within me  and the bubbles lost to me The only air is within me  and the bubbles lost to me which soon will cease as I continue to float upwards.

Where Lies Reality

In my sweet dreams

I can float and swim like a fish.

Can extract air from the water,

as they do.

And breathe it out

in pretty chains of bubbles.

But in my dark dreams,

the nightmarish ones,

this is just a pretence.

The only air is within me

and the bubbles lost to me

which soon will cease

as I continue to float

upwards.

Can reality lie

in my dreams?

I live in north Wales. I have been writing at various points in my life since I was in my teens. My work is influenced by issues of social justice and events, places and people I has known or imagined. I am especially interested in exploring the boundaries of dream, fantasy and reality.
