believe me
believe in you
that you are something
not nothing
or anything
a whiff of wind
a tiny rock
thrown upon a pond
the impact of which
is momentary
insignificant
but something
important
that gives life
improves life
like sun
water
oxygen
only more beautiful
more fragrant
coloring the world
with iridescent hues
exuding sweet scents
like a potpourri
I am here
to be your guiding light
to help you see
that you are all those things
and more
to me
to the world—
believe me
I’ve got your back!
