the ugly writers

More Each Day

I need you next to me To feel the warmth I want to touch you I want to hold you again

More Each Day

I sit and I wait for you

To walk around the corner

To see your smile

First from a distance

Then as you approach

You greet me warmly

Your smile radiant

Across the distance

Come here

Come closer

I need you next to me

To feel the warmth

I want to touch you

I want to hold you again

The distance hurts me

Can’t wait anymore

You increase your speed

You to run to me

You always have

And then you are here

Hold me closer

Don’t let me go

Your embrace is life giving

You kiss til it hurts

Like it matters

You keep me present

I will never wander

I need you more

Than you need me

I think you know this

And it makes me

Love you more each day
