I had this dream not long ago
To be with a maiden whom I saw
A goddess pretending as human
A princess in a dress so elegant
With hopes crushed
I ran in a rush
There it was, my chance
A dream of us in a dance
Your hands I get to hold
This poetry I need told
Into your eyes I was lost
I had to have at all cost
I know I’m too much
It’s you I crave to touch
To stay away I cannot
To leave, I think not
To you I would never say no
With you, in light and in darkness I’ll go
Though my love they forbid
I am grateful, thank you, indeed
