Love’s Tide

Love’s Tide

Ocean waves rocking back and forth
It was simple and ordinary
Yet it was a sense of comfort
that washes over me
A sense of safety
that you offered me

Sand beneath my toes
warmed my sole
Yet nothing compares
to you love
One look, one smile
melts my soul
In your eyes I found
what I can’t have
A love that is everything you’ve known
A love which makes you my home

And so there, maybe,
harsh waves on our way
For it is not always good
that we will face every day
The ocean may seem scary
with all the unpredictability
But with you baby
I’m sure the ocean will be nothing but lovely
