Ruins

As frail as autumn leaves These moldered reckless ruins Were scarred, Marred by mounting grief.

Ruins

Through ghost laden courtyards
Where mourning red ferns grow
Are thrown reckless ruins
As treacherous as the sea.

Treacherous as the sea
These reckless ruins
Upon whose crumpled face
Blue-green ivy sneaks.

Beyond vanished thresholds
Where prayer meets desperate plea
These reckless ruins have moldered,
Turned as frail as autumn leaves.

As frail as autumn leaves
These moldered reckless ruins
Were scarred,
Marred by mounting grief.

Over-top where hearthstones lay,
Wicked roots have sprung
But moldered ruins remain
Stalwart in their decay.

Stalwart in their decay,
These reckless moldered ruins
May crumble, but
Ne’er completely go away.
