RELUCTANCE

RELUCTANCE is a poem written and shared by Maryam H. Viqar for The Ugly Writers with the theme Stuck! for the month of February.

RELUCTANCE

Bare branches
Stand
Deserted, deceived
As leafy companions
Gasp for one last breath
And fall
Giving in to the
Icy whispers of autumn
Night of silence sings
To a memory of yore
Aged foliage,
With crisp veins
Waves goodbye to the rising east wind
Eerily the night bird welcomes the Moon
As Autumnal dew
Satisfied
Settles on the sleepy grass blades
and bids them adieu.

A seeker, dreamer, scribbler, reader, writing poetry as musings of a restless mind....and yes 'the sight of the stars makes me dream' too....
