the ugly writers

now we're talking in the most subtle of ways we're waiting for when we'll be together for a night
Rekindled is a poem written and shared by The Frustrated Writer to The Ugly Writers under the theme Love for the love of May.

half a year of waiting
half a year of wanting
half a year of saying
I want to be over you

but I couldn’t stop
I bided my time
I went with patience
Instead of my usual rhyme

now we’re talking
in the most subtle of ways
we’re waiting for when
we’ll be together for a night

it’s about strong passion
it’s about the desire
that we’ve had from the beginning
that just won’t tire

when that day comes
what will it dictate
hopefully not wasted time
but the chance for you to be mine
