Our Hearts

And now,

after countless memories,

heartbreaks,

and tears,

the only thing our tired

and weary hearts can do

is to go back to its normal life.

That is the right thing to do

when our core was not chosen—

in the time we are not enough.

We go to our rooms;

fix our beds.

We lie our bodies,

we closed our eyes,

and while the silence is deafening,

we will listen to every beat of our hearts,

crying while we are shattering.
