the ugly writers

Raindrops

Raindrops is a poem written by John Marc Cruz and shared with The Ugly Writers under the theme Terrible Ideas for the month of July.

Raindrops

Stuck,
In the middle road.
Sky’s discharging its emotion.
And maybe I am lucky,
Fate never failed me.

There’s an ocean in my eyes,
And a storm in my heart.
And this chaos doesn’t need to be kept inside.

One,
Two,
Three.

This pain is now in the rain.

— the day you left me.
