The Violinist is a poem written by Maryam H. Viqar and shared with The Ugly Writers under the theme Terrible Ideas for the month of July.
The Violinist
Last night sleepy eyes began to breathe in
All details flawlessly emanating
From divinely immaculate perfection
strings well-tuned
In fluid resurrection
Notes sparrows sing in a mellow dream
Songs water drops in a sparkling stream
Happily at the beloved’s soft feet
Resounding E flats and Sharp Cs.
Obliviously When she walks by you
On a morning which oozes With spring’s dew
Satiated eyes witnessed the wonder
And I saw him gracefully
Surrender
Notes out of this world, a fabulous piece
He played Paganini’s 24th Caprice.
