Sometimes you gotta fall

Sometimes you gotta fall is a poem written by Reuben Abrogar and shared with The Ugly Writers under the theme Break Out.

Sometimes you gotta fall

It hasn’t been a good time
But it has been a good life
With all the sad lines and the war crimes
You tend to wonder how things still roll towards the unknown
It hasn’t been a good childhood
But definitely, it has been a good year
You fell from grace and you’re trying to escape the attack of the truth
Yet even if you were at the wrong place at the wrong time
You’re gonna get through
It will be better, because there are those that believe in you
And there is someone that loves you
No matter how much you hated yourself
You’re still here, standing and living
Even if words stab your heart like daggers and it burns
You are becoming better
And bit by bit, things seem to be brighter
Never in your life have you thought that it would end up like this
You’re feeling things that makes you at ease
And you’re not as sad anymore
Not as angry as before,
And it’s all thanks to her
The one that loved you like no other
