Our Celestial Love is a poem written by Tabassum Tahmina Shagufta Hussein and shared with The Ugly Writers for the month of November.
Our Celestial Love
I see you sometimes, but, I fail to see you,
All the times.
Clouds gather in my mind.
They bar me from seeing you.
No, they are not doubts,
The clouds are daily concerns of a family life.
When I close my eyes, I see you.
Just like a flash of light.
When I open my eyes, you are gone.
Just like a, puff of smoke.
I fear to open my eyes, as you vanishes suddenly,
Just as you appear suddenly,
In my mind’s eyes, I find solace.
You are far away, physically.
But you reside in my soul, as I do reside in your soul.
I saw love in your eyes, as you have seen in my eyes.
We fall in love, without any reason.
It happened, spontaneously, before realising, why and how.
We can’t be with each other.
We both are tied in the wedlock, with other people.
But our love is heavenly. We love each other
We can not have each other, in this life time.
When the night is dark and deep,
My life partner sleeps, beside me.
I silently go to the roof.
I look at the stars. I try to see you in them.
And I see you.
In my solitude,
You are the one, I keep thinking of.
My love is true and real.
Not an illusion.
You see me, in the distant rain.
You see me, in the moon.
In your solitude,
I am the Regina
In your soul and mind,
In your heart, in your thoughts.
You are the one who reigns,
In my soul, heart, and mind.
My mind is occupied in your thoughts.
Our eyes speak to each other, silently.
This is our Celestial Love.
In what name you call it,
It is our love.
And that is how it goes on and on….
