Daisies Unchained

Daisies Unchained is a short poem by Lynn White and shared with The Ugly Writers under the theme Entropy: Overcoming Destruction for the month of July

Daisies Unchained

We buried our dreams beneath
a wreath of daisies
freed from their chains
to mark the grave
temporarily.
Waiting
for each daisy death
to hide them
for ever,
unless
someone has the key
that will release them
and make them
flower
again.

I live in north Wales. I have been writing at various points in my life since I was in my teens. My work is influenced by issues of social justice and events, places and people I has known or imagined. I am especially interested in exploring the boundaries of dream, fantasy and reality.
