What if
with packed bag
I wandered into the mountains
without a destination or
a survival kit
I might have lost my mind
or all hope for a future
And maybe I didn’t mind the thought
of losing the battle
against all demons
swooshing by my head
whispering untruths in my ear
What if
that is how it all ended
