Lonely Soul, When You Will Be Whole

How did the story end up so quickly? I thought there would always be you and me I thought the promises would stay, as you said proudly

Lonely Soul, When You Will Be Whole is a poem written by Eklektos and shared with The Ugly Writers under the theme Stuck With Memories for the month of October

Lonely Soul, When You Will Be Whole

I’ve been remembering those times when pain was a fantasy
When butterflies have been dancing gracefully
Those times when love feels like ecstasy
And pain is nowhere to be found in our story

But how does everything turn out so messy?
How did the story end up so quickly?
I thought there would always be you and me
I thought the promises would stay, as you said proudly

But now it’s just me caught up so lonely
The thought of you keeps chasing me so badly
Maybe it’s time to leave these pages fully
Memories are better off this way
Everything is just part of our chaotic memory
And those flashbacks are already buried in our history
