Certainty of Love’s Beauty is an essay written by Julie Ann Baynosa and shared with The Ugly Writers under the theme Of Love and War for February
To be brave,
To walk on water,
To go against the current of its waves and follow the unthinkable,
Just to be where I think my heart belongs.
To be weak and vulnerable,
To take a little step back,
Too afraid to hurt again,
As I’ve watched the fire burn down,
All the feeling I have inside,
as I leave the place,
of where my heart truly belongs.
These are what love made me feel somehow in between,
Something certain like happy and sad,
The hidden reality–behind its promise and beauty.
