Resurrection is a short poem written by Lynn White and shared with The Ugly Writers under the theme Retrospective for the month of September
Resurrection
In search of a saviour
they look to the father
to forgive their sins.
But what of the sins
of the fathers
passing down
the family line
waiting for resurrection.
Who will forgive those sins?

I live in north Wales. I have been writing at various points in my life since I was in my teens. My work is influenced by issues of social justice and events, places and people I has known or imagined. I am especially interested in exploring the boundaries of dream, fantasy and reality.
Maybe there was something more
Someplace where my mind could rest
Where I wouldn’t feel such constant flux
A place where sleep would come easily
But those roads lead to nothing I wanted
My eyes – full of stars as you gaze at…
You don’t have to understand or care, just please will you avert your glare.
The need for pride still goes on, as true acceptance has been fought, not won.
Yet only when a heart grows bold to unfold
vulnerability will reformation turn worry
and rejection into love’s affirmation.
Fiery seas await his corrupted soul…
for twisted actions against weeping maidens;
for atrocities in broad daylight.
