One Thing
The one thing that I do,
that I did,
that I cared about,
I banished,
I abandoned,
forever from my life.
Every time I tried
I would cry
I would incinerate,
never satisfied with
efforts I put forth.
Always too hard,
too harsh,
too critical,
to look past the defect,
to make the needed change.
The story of who I was,
who I am,
who I want to be,
clash like might titans
of ancient myth.
