I can’t even pretend anymore

I don’t know what I am looking at

Nothing is clear

Everything seems muted

Maybe even slightly faded

I can not make sense of it all

Not completely

Even when it is right in front of me

In the shadows is where clarity dwells

Where everything imperfect becomes visible

When everything comes into full view

In the shadows is where you remain

I can’t pretend anymore

I see everything

But nothing is clear from here
