This Privacy Policy, the manner in which The Ugly Writers collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the uglywriters.com / theuglywriters.com website (“Site”).

This segment is designed to inform users about what personally identifiable information (PII) this website collects and what may be done with that PII.

Users are not required to submit any PII to use this website. However, the server for this website may collect data about your visit, your computer’s IP address, browser type, operating system, geographic location, referral source, pages visited, and other “analytics” data. The Site may review that data from time to time to understand how the website is used and to improve the website for users.

The Ugly Writers do not track users after their visit.
At your election, you may provide your email address to subscribe to the site and/or receive my newsletter and other emails,. Users may provide PII in order to post comments and as part of comments on the blog. Users should be aware that anything you post and any PII they disclose in blog comments will be available for others to see, via the internet, around the world.

If at any time a user would like to remove their PII from the TUW database, please email us directly at privacy@uglywriters.com. Users may unsubscribe from the blog and mailing list by visiting MailChimp directly or by clicking on the unsubscribe link on any newsletter. Please do not disclose to TUW the PII of any other person without that person’s consent.

This site is directed to adults and not directed to children under the age of 18. I ask that minors not submit any PII. This site complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and does not permit registration by, and will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from, anyone under 18 years of age.

TUW will take reasonable technical precautions to prevent the loss, misused or alteration of your PII. The site will not provide user’s email address nor any other PII to any other person, other than (i) to MailChimp or other provider which assists TUW in sending newsletters and emails, or (ii) if required to be disclosed by law or in connection with any actual or threatened legal proceeding.

The Ugly Writers reserve the right to remove any comments from the blog if we find them offensive, defamatory, obscene, abusive, vulgar, or in any way inappropriate.
The site include hyperlinks to other websites. We have no control over and are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other websites and blogs.

Users may copy and quote from the website without limitation, so long as the user provide attribution to the site and the author and a link back to the site.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, website or app?
When subscribing or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address or other details to help you with your experience.

We collect information from you when you subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form or enter information on our site.
