To Silent Dads

As a father, words don’t come quickly to me,

But my love, it runs depends, silently, you see.

I toil and strive, day in and day out.

For you, my dear ones, without a doubt.

I may not say it much, but my heart full of care,

I watch you from afar, love shining in my stare.

In quiet moments, I admire all that you do,

A proud dad, standing back, letting you pursue.

I express my love through gifts, simple but true,

Tokens of affection, to show how much I value you.

Though they may seem small, I hope you understand.

They come from a place of love, from this silent dad’s hand.

Sometimes, doubts cloud my mind, wondering if it’s enough.

So, my dear children, let your gratitude be my comfort.

Your thanks, and your smiles, mean the world to me,

For a silent dad, these gestures speak louder than words.
