Before Dawn
The moon hung mysteriously
Behind the mists
before dawn
Drawing to its silent majesty
My loyal gaze.
As dawn approaches
The foggy winter morn
Unveils
From the night before
The secrets it guarded
So wisely.
I lock my reverent gaze
And hear it speak to me
And me alone.
I know not what it spoke
But I felt
It was a secret
Of my own.
Before dawn.
