The Girl Who Dreamt
In a nameless grave
Under a Banyan tree…
For my gravestone
A boulder,
The same they squashed
My head with.
My blood streaks
On it
Still shine under the bright Sun
Just as my eyes always shone
When I dreamt to touch the stars.
I lay now
Under the soft soil
Improperly buried,
Carefully hidden like a crime
Committed
But I….
Can still dream
And yes,
I touched the stars
Swirled my way
Towards the clouds
Watching them miles below me
insignificant small figurines
As they put the boulder
For my gravestone
The same which squashed
My head.
My thoughts, my dreams
Are still untouched, intact.
