My eyes were struck by a candlelight

Afar from my windows in a silent night

My mind blew how it shined so bright

I stare forever – amazed by the fire

Every night my heart was inspired 

By its beauty and its graceful dance

I never got tired of mesmerizing my sight

For it will always be the apple of my eye

I decided to get near to it

Hoping that we can be together

Though I was warned by my peers

I can’t imagine my life without it

Until I declared my burning desire

To be with the candle light

I touched it and felt the fire

Too late to realize, it will hurt me so bad
