Lipstick

Lipstick

Lips so red they may be bleeding
At least that is what he thought when
He saw me across the too full room

Lips so red they seemed to offend him
He tried to look away but could not
So he continued to stare intently

Lips so red he couldn’t resist them
His feet carried him closer just to see
If they were as kissable up close

Lips so red right in front of him
He waited for me to turn towards him
Before he reached to touch them

Lips so red they must be caressed
With hands and lips and never ignored
He confirmed they needed attention

Lips so red being kissed suddenly
I didn’t pull away but drew him near
Now he too possessed lips so red
