The Calling
Far away,
Dimensions apart,
Timeless oblivion haunts,
Celestial silence
Echoes,
To bring me back
From
The dreamless sleep,
Someone’s amused whispers
Pour
Like gentle breathing
into my ears,
Incantation inaudible,
But
The calling is heard,
Somewhere deep
Within,
And like an insomniac
I sit up
Startled by the ethereal
Quietude
Staring at me
With ocular constellations
from
Outside my window…
Reality awaits.
