I was at a bar last night. I had a big bad tough day and I thought I’ll go a few rounds with my liver before I hit the sack. In all such times I go to this bar called Rainbow but yesterday I went to a different one. I got drunk and everything and then asked the bartender to get me the bill. When he went away to get the bill, I thought I’ll get my wallet from my back pocket till then (you know getting the wallet out of my back pocket is a slow process once I am drunk?). But look at the bummer! Back pocket does not have the only thing it is supposed to have – My wallet!
I left it in my room at the site.I was like- shit! Wtf do I do now!!! I thought of a million ways to sort out the situation before the bartender came with the bill (biggest one was calling Utsav and asking him to pay the bill). But when the bartender came back, he came back without the bill. I asked him about the bill and he said that the manager wants to talk to you. I just sat there thinking that even I have something to tell your manager. Anyway, I walked up to him and explained to him that I forgot my wallet at my place and asked him politely if it will be ok if I come back tomorrow morning and clear my bill. He kept listening to whatever I had to say and then he said- you don’t remember me, do you? I just kept thinking with my drunk head and all I could think of was he used to be one of my dad’s friend. With a question mark on my face, I said- I’m sorry, I don’t. He asked me if I remember helping somebody on the highway who ran out of fuel in his bike.
I had no idea about who he was but he told me who he is and here is a quick flashback from last December- I was coming back to the site where I live these days from the city. This guy stood there on the highway asking for a lift. His bike (Royal Enfield 350) was out of fuel and he needed a lift to the next petrol bunk which was around 7kms from the direction I was coming from. I stopped (I always do, even of it is some assholes trying to get my bike key from me ?) and we spoke and he explained he needed help to get to the next fuel station. I wanted to help but the nearest petrol bunk was 7 kms behind me and it was a December night (really really cold and I did not want to help by riding back 7 kms and coming again, 14kms straight in such cold.) So I asked him to give me the water bottle he had in his hand. I threw the water out and then unplugged the fuel pipe from my bike. Got enough fuel out of my tank for him to reach the city(not just the next fuel station). He was shocked and thanked me a gazillion times for it. I told him its fine and I just got my tank full so it won’t make much difference. He took it and we went in our own ways after a big warm ‘guys’ type of handshake. Turns out that he owns this bar ?. He said I noticed you coming but wasn’t too sure of your face so I asked the bartender to go out and check if there is a red color avenger bike parked outside and he was affirmative about it. That’s how I recognized you ?. The bill is on me- he said. I told him “No It’s fine, thanks for the help but I’ll come back tomorrow morning and pay my bill” and to this he said – You don’t pay someone who is helping you! This is exactly what I told him when he offered to pay me for the fuel I gave him out of my bike’s fuel tank! ?
I slept last night with a big smile on my face..
P.S.- Keep doing good, karma is not a bitch but the universe has It’s own special ways to show u that it is round in shape! ?

Karma is a concept in Hinduism which deals with good actions deliver good results. People reap what they sow. If you show kindness, the universe will smile at you and give it back to you. This is good karma indeed. Inspiring.
