Snow Magic

Snow Magic

How I would love to slip

Quietly into the other realm

Unseen but promising

Like the spell

that fills the void

Of earth with the solemnly falling snow

I would walk silently on tip of my toes

Or glide on the snow-laden grass

Though still green

But pledging to hide its lush secrets

Underneath the spellbinding snowflakes

Such magic in the words unsaid,

Such beauty around me

Such quiet majesty

Such silent grandeur

Like sheen of cloud-like fluff

Gently touching the soles of my feet

Its ethereal magic

Falling silently upon me

Buries

The dull aches

Somewhere deep

To sleep forever,

Under the snow.
