Today’s Normal
Me, Me, Me, how do they see me?
Me, Me, Me, it’s all about me.
Me, Me, Me, dances on tragedy
for the opportunity to comment: it ain’t me.
Me, Me, Me, can’t understand humanity
until it happens to me, so it sucks to be me.
Me, Me, Me, sing along with me.
Me, Me, Me, life’s new do re me
a tune for you and me on the way to be.
Me, Me, Me because we no longer see
others, but live to tell them how to be.
Me, Me, Me, cause reality
undressed humanity
on tragedy’s runway
labeling empathy a runaway
from today’s normal!
Me, Me, Me, makes a meme
a trend, a comment a decree,
a share a right to do or be;
because abuse defines being free
because others don’t matter just me
because living while others suffer
let’s the Me, Me, Me,
go on talking for free
because doing is costly!
So yea, Me, Me, Me
cause tragedy is today’s normal!
And who are we
to defy those in control?
