Lull is a poem written and shared by Letterthief to The Ugly Writers under the theme After The Storm for the month of June.
Lull
I wouldn’t say I’m not afraid
But wouldn’t it be great?
That the world I grew up with
Will it be different from the one I will leave?
And so,
As things turn slower
The skies seemed clearer
The sun shines brighter
The moon glows whiter
And the stars gleam better
And so,
As the world finally stands still
I will take a breath of fresh air
I will drown in this picturesque feel
I will drown to remember
So,
I will never forget
As I look back at this moment
I will remember
As my eyes slowly welcome the inevitable slumber.
