Sweaty palms

Labored breathing

How long would it be this time?

5 minutes? 10? I can’t feel anything

But dizziness, numbness, dread

Everything feels cold

I’m shedding tears

Losing breath

Even though my heart races

Sleep won’t creep in

I can’t stay still

My mind’s running back and forth

I’m tossing and turning

How long has it been?

5 minutes? 10? An hour?
