Why is it so difficult to be happy?

Why can’t we choose what we really want?

Why can’t we have the one we really love?

Why can’t our mouths blurt out the truth?

Why do we need to lie when we want to tell everyone?

So many whys, so many hindrances, so many could haves and would haves. 

This is the new age where we can only fake that smile on our faces while dying inside. Is it sad? No, sadness is an understatement. And I don’t know how to contain it any longer. It’s slowly consuming me day by day.
